• What is Recovery Unbroken?

Recovery Unbroken is a virtual peer recovery community for alcohol. We are a different type of support than any rehab, AA, or social media group. We are a group of sober adults all throughout the United States collaborating and connecting to achieve long term recovery and happiness. This is achieved through meetings, messaging, activities, education and day to day support.

  • Who runs Recovery Unbroken?

Community leaders are individuals in recovery from alcohol and who have professional experience working in the behavioral health field.

  • What happens after I sign up?

After you sign up you’ll get an email with instructions on how to get connected. A community leader will also reach out right away to assist in sign up, answer your questions and provide support. We have 3 meetings a week and a private connected messaging page available on your computer, tablet or phone 24/7. Sharing, responding and participating are huge keys to recovery success.

  • Do you have sponsors, rules or allow crosstalk?

    1. Recovery Unbroken does not have sponsorship. We believe the collective support of the group is more valuable than just one person.
    2. We read a disclamier before each meeting.
    3. YES we allow and encourage crosstalk! Our meetings are a learning and vulnerable safe environment where people are heard and judgment is no where to be seen.
  • How long do I need to be sober? What if I relapse?

Recovery Unbroken welcomes you if you are sober-curious, day 1 or day 10,000. We do not exclude sobriety time and we are true experts in how to support someone who has relapsed. If you slip 1 day or 30, you’ll be welcomed and encouraged back.

  • When are your Zoom meetings and how do they go?

We have a minimum of 3 zoom meetings a week that are roughly 60 minutes each.  After each meeting we instituted "RU After Hours" where Community Members can chat informally for however long they choose.  Each meeting has a topic, educational component, open discussion and shares. Meetings are a place for everyone to share their struggles and their wins while giving and receiving encouragement and support.  We also have invited guest speakers who are addiction professionals, therapists, authors, and social workers.

    Meeting times are:

    • Wednesday 8:30pm eastern/ 5:30pm pacific,
    • Friday 7:00pm eastern / 4:00pm pacific
    • Sunday 12:00pm eastern / 9:00am pacific.
  • Do you support mental health or other substance addiction?

We understand very well the connection of alcoholism and mental health. We openly and productivity talk about mental health and ways to help navigate those issues. At this time we do not solely support other substances, but we do discuss it.

  • How long do I have to commit to?

Recovery is a personal commitment and you can join for as long or as short as you need.  There is a month to month option as well as a 6 month prepaid option at a lower rate.

  • Do you ever meet in person?

Recovery Unbroken meetings are held weekly over zoom which allows for Community Members to get peer support from anywhere.  You can be on a meeting from home, the office, your car, whatever works for You.  Members can be on or off camera and share or not share depending on how they are feeling.  We hosted the first Recovery Unbroken in person retreat in Nashville in October 2024 and got the opportunity to meet in person. We are planning our 2025 retreat and will have more information regarding it soon.

  • I’m unsure if I can commit, is there a place for me?

Yes. Not everyone jumps in the deep end of the pool right away. But the key is the investment of support for when you’ll need it. Because we ALL do and waiting until it’s too late can lead to dire consequences. We welcome everyone regardless of their “ready” level. Once you’re in, we have your back.

  • Do you offer 1 on 1 coaching?

We offer 1 on 1 peer recovery coaching sessions.
